About

 Sundays at Kenansville

- 10:30 AM -

Our church sits in the center of Duplin County, the county seat. We don’t think that’s a coincidence.

We believe our church body is called to build bridges, foster strong relationships, and reach the lost in our community. When you visit, you’ll find someone greeting you in the parking lot and shaking your hand. You’ll be welcomed, not just made to feel welcome. Your kids will have a place to learn about Jesus on their level, and you’ll find no shortage of ways to get connected to our church family.

Kenansville Baptist has been deeply rooted in this community for almost 200 years, and we know that God is not done with us. Come see for yourself!

Looking for a church?

We understand that your first time at a church can be intimidating: you don’t know what to expect, you may not know anyone, or you simply want to “scope out” the church and get out the door quickly! Our hope is that you will feel warmly welcomed as a guest at one of our Sunday morning gatherings. Here are some questions we think you might like answered, even before you try us out!

What is a Sunday Service like?

We believe that the gospel changes everything! So, our hour long Sunday gatherings are structured to remind us of the good news about who Jesus is and what He has done for us. We do this through singing, prayer, and teaching from the Bible. Our goal is not to manufacture a particular feeling or experience, but simply to remind ourselves that even in the midst of our brokenness, we are more loved in Jesus than we could imagine. As this truth sinks into our hearts, our prayer is that we will be transformed for His glory and for the good of our city.

What do I wear?

Most of us tend to dress casually, so you’ll see more jeans than dresses and dress shirts, but we encourage you to come as you are!

What about my kids?

Our kid's ministry desires to bless the parents who attend our weekend gatherings with the assurance that their child is safe, well-loved, and growing in their knowledge of God and His love for them. We have a nursery for kids birth to 24 months and a worship service for kids age 2 to fifth grade in the fellowship hall. Older students (6-12 grade) typically join the worship service with their families.
